  1. I think it is interesting the size of the building. there are for doors up front that lead to different places which is kinda cool. theres is a big warehouse and office space. this would be the perfect hide out. im surprised that they only survived for two years you think they wouldve lasted longer.

  2. I learned many interesting things on that site. The Annex's rooms are tiny and I would have been very tired of staying in that place for 2 years, and Anne had to be in there with another family. I learned that the building they were hiding in was very small place. And it was interesting to find out that they had to be quiet for like 10 hours everyday while the workers were in the building, and the families everyday had the fear that they were going to be captured. Every night they had to be brought food and every time they could have been caught if someone had walked in. All in all, it's very interesting to find out how these families lived.

  3. Some new information that i learned while looking at this sight is that Anne Frank's diary was her best friend. Anne also hoped that a story that she was writing would be published into a back after the war, but she didn't get to finish it because she was taken away by the Germans before she had the time.Another new thing that i learned from the site is that There were 8 people all in the Annex. Something that stood out to me in the Annex is how much room they had in their hiding place compared to other people. I would imagine life in the Annex would be fairly normal except for the part of not being able to make noise in the day or having running water.

  4. I learned that there were 8 people living in the Annex. There was the Frank family, and the Van Pel family sharing it. I also learned that the rooms were not as small as I thought they were. Even though the rooms in the Annex were still fairly small, it still seemed like a better hiding place then anybody else's. I wouldn't like not being able to talk or use running water during the day when people were downstairs working. I think life would have been difficult living there for two years with not being able to make any noise during the day.

  5. What is interesting to me is the size of the rooms. For example, Peter Van Pels room was the smallest. He had to sleep right next to a flight of stairs and had a small bed. We stood out to me the most was the size of the building. It would have been very hard for me to stay in there with all those people.

  6. I learned that there were 8 people, 3 families, living in in are where one small family would be squished. I could not bear to live in that space for one month let alone 2 years. I learned the bedrooms are smaller than I thought and I wouldn't be able to live in there alone, let alone with another occupant. I also learned that they lived on a canal in a heavily packed road with small, tall, narrow buildings. Finally, making no noise for up to 10 hours would be unbearable. There is no way I could live like Anne and her family could.

  7. I learned that Miep lived until 2010 and lived a long happy life as well as 2 other helpers. What stood out to me is how any person in any time period could live in a "house" smaller than a trailer home. I struggle to keep myself occupied while stuck inside with my family for a week, not to mention two years. I feel sympathy for all 8 people living in the Secret Annex. One of the offices was bigger than Peter's whole room when it was empty. I could not live like that, maybe not even when my life depended on it.

  8. I learned quite a few things from visiting this site. A few things I learned from visiting this site was that there were 3 families living together, 8 people total. The annex was quite small, but Peter's room was overall the smallest. Anne's diary was literally her best friend throughout the entire time hiding out. I was surprised they didn't last longer, for I would've believed they would have survived until it was over. I don't really believe I could fathom living like that. Such a small place under so many requirements, and so many people. You're stuck with all of this for 2 years and it's not like you can just leave, yell, slam a door, etc. I wouldn't be able to survive the holocaust, even if my life did depend on it. The fear, anxiety, annoyance, and boredom would have most definitely gotten to me first, and eventually Nazi's.

  9. There were several facts that I found interesting while exploring the Secret Annex. However, the most interesting was how compact the entire space was for the families. When they explain events and places in a classroom it doesn't come close to describing the place when you get to see it. It seemed to me as though the space was cramped, but not cramped to a point where you were basically always with another person no matter which room it was that you were in. I imagine that life was either annoying or boring depending on where you were. If you were with someone who constantly talked or bugged you it was annoying, but if you were alone with someone who didn't do much it was probably boring. Although if you were to talk about early morning and at night it was likely to be more lively and active, since no one was at the building ,except for the 8 people there. The aother part that stood out to me was that they limited bathroom time and comparing that to my family there is no way my family would've survived.

  10. While on the site I discovered that Anne's family, and the others living in the annex, went out of their hiding place after business hours. I had just thought that they stayed in hiding always in case something were to happen. What stood out to me was how complex the layout of the house is. There were so many doors and rooms that it seemed like a maze. Also, I was surprised at how big their hiding place was. When I thought about them going into hiding, I imagined a small little room where they all stayed. I believe that life there would have been very hard at times. I get annoyed with my family sometimes, so I can't imagine sharing a space with more people, (especially someone how makes noises in their sleep at night). Lastly, I would imagine that it would be very hard to be quite all day long and not be able to move around freely and talk to each other.

  11. I think that the size of the building was very small. how could 8 people be living in such a small area? i don't know how they got found but u would have to be really smart to look behind just any bookshelf and know that people are there.

  12. Some things that I found interesting about the Secret Annex Anne and her family and friends lived in was- to begin with- how small it was. There were 8 people living there and some how they all managed to fit for two years. I don't know how they all did it. I would be so bored and tired and cramped if just my family of four lived in there.I also didn't know that Anne would go up in to the upper part of the attic to get away from everyone. I didn't even know that there was an upper part of the attic or annex.

    ReplyDelete
  13. there are many interesting facts about anne and the others in the website. One thing i found very interesting was that Anne and Peter would go to the attic to talk in private. I find this interesting because Peter doesn't seem like someone who would do that. another interesting thing is that the Nazis had doctors to tell apart the people who could work and the people that should just go to the gas chambers. my first impression of the secret annex is "wow, there are a lot of doors." i also noticed how cramped Peter's room is and that the Van Pels' room is also a kitchen. It must have been crowded with that many people.

  14. The new and interesting information I learned on this site was that Anne and her family sometimes went out of the annex to listen to the radio or get how water for their baths. after exploring the annex, the attic stood out to me the most because it was where Anne would go for peace and quiet and to just see what was out there. I also found it funny when Anne was talking about one of the other people in the annex hogging the toilet for many hours a day at certain times and would never get out even when people yelled at him to. Life must have been very hard there. They would always have to be on the look out for the Nazis and be constantly stressed. it must have been hard to always be quiet and not even flush the toilet during the day. If I was living there I would probably be sick of everyone there in a week. it must have been very difficult for Anne the other Jews hiding out in the annex.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The new information that i learned from the site was that while the eight Jews were in the secret annex, they had to wake up every day at 7:00 to lookout for Nazi officers. While hiding they also had to wear slippers to prevent squeaking or noise that the workers below could hear. while looking at the Secret Annex online, the tiny rooms that all eight of the Jews shared stood out to me the most. one question that I had while exploring the Secret Annex was: how did Mr. Frank know wether it was the suppliers knocking on the bookshelf or the Nazi officers? I figured that life in the Secret Annex was very tough, because of how sneaky they had to be.

    ReplyDelete
  16. The new information I learned from the site was that eight people were crammed into a room and had to look out for any Nazi officers from seven till eight thirty. I also learned that they couldn't wear shoes and had to wear slippers to prevent them from making any noises . The idea to put a bookshelf in front of the door that lead to where they were hiding was an ingenious idea to keep them safe. The thing that stood out was the fact that they had a bookshelf in front of the door because I would have never thought that there would be any space beyond that door other than a small room. I assume that life in hiding would be very difficult because of how quiet you would have to be so that no one would hear you.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The new information I learned from this is that Anne wanted to write a book about her hiding after the war. I also learned that they had to be so careful and quiet, everything had to be perfect even down to what shoes they had to wear. If they wore real shoes, they would be heard so they wore slippers around. I think the fact that they put a bookshelf on front was very clever. No one would ever look there or even think to look there! After visiting the Annex online, the thing that stood out to me is the reality of the size of these rooms. I couldn't believe how small they really were. I think that life here would be annoying and exhausting. Living in the same house as not only your own annoying family but also another family with a boring son and a strange man to share a room with? I could never do it. I also think they were bored out of their minds and tired of living in fear.

    ReplyDelete
  18. While I was on the site I learned many new things. Like Anne also wrote short stories and she decided she was going to make her diary into a book and even started editing it before she was taken. I imagined the hide out differently. More like the play layout was. One floor with an attic and a staircase down to the bookcase. Instead it was like a circle of rooms. What stood out to me was the way the guy who stayed in Anne's room acted. It almost sounded like he was very selfish. Hogging the bathroom for long hours. Eating a ton of food and not letting Anne use the desk for more than a couple hours. That doesn't sound like a grateful person to me. If I were stuck inside that long, who knows what i would do. I'd have to at least be outside once a week. And not being able to talk to any one but my family for a small portion of the day. Difficult wouldn't even begin to describe how that would be like.

  19. After exploring the secret annex I discovered how small the rooms actually were. I could not imagine living in such a tiny space for 2 years. Also I was surprised at how well they made do with what little they had. I imagine life being very difficult living in such crammed quarters combined with not being able to live their normal routine. They couldn't make any noise whatsoever for fear of being detected by warehouse workers. They also had limited bathroom time and could only flush the toilet when the warehouse was closed. I found it interesting that the bookcase concealed the annex from the warehouse. Another cool fact I learned was that Anne’s parents measured her and Margot's height on a wall while in hiding.

  20. After exploring the secret annex I was surprised how little space the families had to eat and commerce together. I also noticed that Anne's room mate was really stubborn when it came to the little desk in their room. She had difficulty trying to get at least 3 hours a week. Even though she had a hard time with her room mate, the ability to not being able to go outside was her greatest complaint. Anne had another trouble with people taking too long in the bathroom. As a girl she needed time in the restroom and people were hogging it, then she couldn't flush the toilet because of the workers lurking down stairs. I have learned a lot about Anne, and how difficult it must have been living in the secret annex.

  21. After exploring the annex I learned a lot of new information. Some of the information I learned was that Anne had wanted to write a book about her hiding after the war. I also learned that they had to be very quiet. They could not make any sounds, because if they did, then someone downstairs would become suspicious and tell the Green Police. I was also surprised by how much little space they had. A cool fact is that when they were in hiding, Anne's parents measured how tall they were on the walls. They had to share a bathroom. The thing that really stood out to me was that they weren't allowed to flush the toilet or talk during the day. I imagine life being very crowded and difficult. It would be very difficult to not be able to talk all day. I would have also been very annoyed to live with the same people and talk to the same people for too long (2 years!). I have learned a lot about Anne and how hard it was to live in the Secret Annex.

  22. After exploring the annex, i learned a lot of new information. I learned just how small the rooms really were, i thought the room were a little bigger. Peter's room wasn't even a room but a small closet. I Imagine that life there was very crazy. I think it's so odd how they could fit 8 people into such a small area. Anne must have gone crazy, how did she get all her energy out? I would have gone crazy talking to the same people over and over again for 2 years. I think life in the secret annex would be very herd to live in due to very small space they had to live in.

  23. After exploring the secret annex, I noticed a lot of different things. Having 8 people living in a tiny area for 2 years would be very crowded. Seeing the annex I learned how small the rooms actually were. I also thought about how hard it would be to keep quiet all day. What stood out the most would be constantly living in fear. Just thinking about if you were going to make it out alive, and always wondering if today was the day they'd be caught would be a horrible feeling. I think it would also be bad because of the food shortage, but it was very nice of Miep bringing things they needed. I learned many of the challenges they faced in hiding, and it would be very hard to do.

    ReplyDelete
  24. After walking through the annex, I have realized how small the area was and how they were able to stand being so close to each other everyday. Also i learned how quite and strict they had to be so they weren't found out so that means not flushing the toilet and not turning the water or speaking out loud. Life for me in those conditions would be horrible to be I can barley stand a couple hours not talking. Then also being trapped and not able to leave such a small area for two year. It sounds like torture to me. So there for I think that living in the annex would be very hard to do and going to sleep every night thinking about if you were gonna be found.

    ReplyDelete
  25. After exploring the secret annex, I realized how big it really is. I pictured it as being some small little room, but when you open the book case it already looks like a maze! Some other information I learned was how quiet you had to and how strict the adults had to be. To me, living like that would just be miserable because your with your family, which will get annoying real fast and now with other people you don't even know! Also, if you're like Anne and you're outgoing it would stink to have another kid there that is quite and shy. Eating the same thing, beans, every night would get old. Finally, keeping quite for most of the day would be hard because most people Anne's age wouldn't be able to go that long without talking.

  26. After I explored the secret annex, I found it interesting that so many people lived in such a tiny space. Also that they weren't allowed to talk all day because the people below might hear them. What stood out to me most was that the Van Pels had to live in the room that was also used as the kitchen and dinning room. If I had to live in the secret annex for 2 years, I would go absolutley insane! If you could never talk to your friends anymore, never go outside, or even that you couldn't talk for 10 hours of the day. Also that you could never talk to any other people than the ones you lived with and the people helping you. Living in the annex would of been very tough.

  27. After exploring the secret annex, looking at a timeline from Anne's life, and reading several articles on the Anne Frank website, I have definately gained a better understanding of what really happened during the Holocaust. While on the site, I noted how little space there was and how many people were in each room... and being like that for two years? That would be extremely hard for a lot of people in the present day. I also noticed in one of the recordings at the secret annex, Anne explained how everybody's "real personalities" were shown at the dining table. She noted how Margot was like a quiet mouse and didn't eat much, how Mr. VanPels was always the first to get food, and how her father would be humble and wait to make sure everybody else had enough to eat. This really stuck out to me along with so many other amazing details. But, I do want to mention how important "Kitty" was to Anne. When Anne found out her family was going into hiding, she made sure it was the first thing she packed. Since she couldn't talk to any friends, Kitty was her friend. She wrote extremely detailed because Kitty was like the best friend she never had and the only way Anne could express herself.
Life must have been extremely hard, wondering if you were going to be found day after day, week after week, month after month. Just living in silent fear. I could never be able to handle the intensity that they dealt with each and every day. The people who hid in the annex were truly courageous people.

  28. After exploring the secret annex that Anne and her family lived in for several months I realized how difficult it would have been. You would of had no privacy what so ever. Everything seemed so cramped and cluttered. There was no room for any activities. I never actually realized how quiet they had to be because every noise that they make may have been heard by someone who was looking for them. So if you ask me if I would of been able to live in these conditions I probably would not have.

  29. While i was looking at the house and place that Anne frank and the family that stayed there is small. the rooms were small and places for doors were not notice able do to book cases in the front of the doors. I think they wouldn't have much privacy in there house or place to hide out. They must have been very cramped in with all the others and it was very small place to hide. I think i would try to find another place to hide because it was way to small for me. I think it was uncomfortable to them for eight hours.

    ReplyDelete
  30. While I was searching the secret annex I learned that they were very cramped. They were probably got sick of each other since they were near each other for so long. You couldn't see the doors because of the book cases that were in front of them. They had little privacy and to write a book while in such bad conditions would be impossible for me but not for Anne she just found a place in there to write that was quiet. If you asked me if would live there in these conditions yes only if it was the only place available

  31. On this site, I found many new and interesting facts. One fact was that I didn't know that Mr. Frank served in the war during World War One. Another interesting fact was I found was that I didn't know that there had to be a paper saying that Jews were not considered Germans. I just thought it just was a law that just got into the system. I also did not know that the helpers survived too. After exploring the Annex, the thing that stood out to me was how small the rooms were and how they all had to live cramped up all next to each other, whether they liked it or not. If I had lived there, I would imagine life as horrible as it could have been. Also, I would hate to live in those horrible cramped up places, and have nowhere to go and the fact that they couldn't go outside was very horrible to me.

  32. on this site when I went through the annex I viewed many of interesting facts. What I found interesting was the map that showed all the Germans and Jews and how Otto Frank kept up with the populations with red pins. How did Otto keep up with the jews population if miep only came about 1 time a week? I think living in these conditions I probally would not make it two years with the same seven people. also I thought how the rooms were set up was very interesting because they were crammed and margot had to share a room with her parents at the age of 18. no privacy really a few hours. my other concern was how would they be silent without moving if anne and dussell switched from room to room for their times in each rooms.

    ReplyDelete
  33. While on the website I discovered a lot of intresting things! First, I thought it was intresting how they never knew who ratted the Franks and other families who were in hiding, out. Was it someone close to them? Also I found it quit intresting that while exploring the secret annex I could see that the rooms were very small and cramped. There was little privacy for how much people they kept in there. Over all seeing the secret annex really lets you know how they lived.

  34. While on the site I found many new and interesting information. I noticed that the living space was very crammed and compacted. I didn't realize how small it was until I actually saw it. Another interesting information I found was that Anne would go to the back window in the Annex to look at the garden to relax. After exploring the Annex the one thing that stood out to me was the book shelf. There was a door right behind the book shelf that went up to the Annex. Also Peter's room was very small and it didn't look like a room at all. Imaging my life in that situation would be a struggle because it is crammed and there's very little small room to move around when there's that many people. I wouldn't be able talk loudly. I wouldn't want to have to worry all the time if I'm going to be caught by the Nazi soldiers. Also I wouldn't want to have to stay in the Annex all day and all night with the same people. Therefore, imaging my life living in the Annex would be would be difficult.

    ReplyDelete
  35. the interesting thing I found is that all the windows are wide opened so you really couldn't walk around during the day not just because the workers are downstairs but because the people would see you outside sense the windows are wide open. what stood out to me the most about there living area is that its very small and clutter I thought it would be cleaner then that. I also think it was gross on how they took a bath in the kitchen because that's where you cook your food it just gross. I personally don't think I could stay there with my family because I can barely stay with them for 10 minutes without them annoying e and have my whole family in there is just way to much

  36. After exploring life in the secret annex, I noticed a few things that were very interesting. For example, I noticed the rooms were very narrow and small especially for that many people to be living there. They basically had to climb over each other just to get around. Another thing that stood out to me was that Peter's room looked like a closet as his bed almost stretched from wall to wall. I couldn't even image living there for two years, the small and narrow rooms would drive me crazy as I'd want to stretch out. I also couldn't deal with the same people for that long without just going off. Living there would mean that you couldn't run or breathe fresh air and you would have to stay absolutely quiet for the whole day. Overall, living like Anne would be a nightmare, but it was either that or almost certain death.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The interesting thing I discovered while on the website was that Anne attended a Montessori kindergarten as a young girl. I also noticed that the rooms where cramped and no one would really have their own privacy because of the limited space. After exploring the annex what really stood out to me was the bed that Edith and Otto Frank had to share. It was very small and I don't understand how to adults could share a bed together that is that small.I would imagine life there like a prison because the rooms are so small and there is nothing to really do like in our society today.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The interesting part of the secret annex was how cramped and how messy the rooms were. For the small size, I find it hard to believe that three families and more had to share this hiding space. After exploring the annex I also noticed how large the windows are, and also how much light comes in through them. This is important because not only do they have to remain quiet when workers are there, but they also had to remain hidden from the windows while the daylight shined through. Considering the families did this for two years shocked me on how they stayed sane. I can imagine life back when they were in hiding was a nightmare.

  39. An interesting part of the secret annex was that all the rooms we so small and some were fulled with pictures. It was interesting because I couldn't imagine what it would be like to live in a house with so many people and not a lot of space. I also realize that it must of been very hard to stay quiet all day while there were workers below you. With that small space i wouldn't imagine how they would be able to do much while remaining quiet for hours.

  40. On the Anne Frank website, I uncovered several little facts and pieces of information that i hadn`t known before. One of these that stood out to me was that Margot was very quite and reserved, despite the fact that she was popular in school. In today`s society, people are attracted to confidence, and confidence often times go hand in hand with being outspoken and outgoing. Polar opposites of Margot. another thing that i hadn`t realised previously, was the cluttered and cramped spaces of the annex. I had always been told, or read about how small the rooms where, but it really hadn`t comprehended in my mind what that really meant. So of course the rooms are going to be cluttery. Still, the annex was a blessing for the lucky eight who got to live there. There were people who were living in holes in the ground hidden by wood and brush. People who would have literally killed to have the type of arrangement that the members of the annex had. When I imagined the hiding place, I usually thought it was something similar to what was actually there. Small, narrow rooms and hallways. I obviously never imagined it exactly like it was, but I`ve had a fairly decent knowledge of Anne`s story for as long as I can remember. However, I feel like this is the first time that I have had a real sense of what her living conditions even might have been like.

  41. After taking a virtual tour of the secret annex and exploring the website, I find it easier to put myself in the shoes of Anne and the other people who lived in the tiny space. I knew their hideout was small, but I had no idea how much their rooms and living spaces overlapped each other. I found the setup of the annex very interesting. I can't imagine what it must have been like with eight people sharing a single bathroom. I share one with my sister, and even that can get annoying! Mr. Pfeffer didn't help the situation much, since he hogged the toilet. It also shocks me how difficult it must have been for Anne at her young age to stay as quiet as possible for ten hours straight. I'd probably go crazy if I had to stay silent for that long, especially if I knew I could be found at any moment. My favorite part of the tour was probably the story in which Mr. Pfeffer was doing dental work on Mrs. van Pels, and his dental pick got stuck in her tooth. I was not laughing, however, when Mr. Frank returned to Amsterdam and found out that the other seven people he had lived with for two years were all dead. I can't even put into words how I would have felt if this happened to me. All in all, the people living in the secret annex endured many challenges, and it was interesting to see what their hiding place looked like.

  42. While I was on this site, I discovered quite a lot of new and interesting things about the secret annex and its eight inhabitants. First, I was very surprised with the whole set-up and architecture of the annex. Most of the rooms were not connected through hallways, but moreover a sequence of rooms with doors all leading to another. It shows how little space there was for eight people to live in, especially for two years. Plus, the way that the rooms were decorated let you infer what the personalities of their inhabitants were like. Annes' room, had colorful posters and pictures of celebrities hung on the walls, showing that Anne is more outgoing than her sister Margot, whose living space was orderly and prim. The annex was extremely cramped, and living there with eight other people, (FOR TWO YEARS), must have been extremely aggravating. Especially for the fact that they had to keep completely silent for the majority of the day, something that I,unfortunately , would never be able to accomplish. I might go insane at the attempt. It was almost necessary for Anne to have her diary to write in; she would have been constantly bored and lonely without her good friend "kitty." However, there were much worse things that people faced during the Holocaust. One of the hardest parts of the Holocaust was even surviving it. i cannot imagine the frustration and pain that Otto Frank felt when he realized that his family, and his four other very close roommates were all dead. After reading this post and Anne's diary, I have concluded that, yes, it is a wonderful thing to be a survivor of the Holocaust, but at the same time, it is horrible. You feel guilty and confused as you wonder: Why them and not me?

  43. There were very many interesting things I found on that site. The annex was very small and the two families had to of been crammed in. Life would of been full of danger while they were in hiding because they had to be quiet for 10 hours every day when the soldiers would come. Life living in the annex with not just your family but another family would've probably been very annoying and aggravated with everybody their. The tension between everybody their grew high and everybody fought of course. What stood out to me was how small Peter's room was. Life in the annex for 2 years straight was probably miserable and I bet they think they did it for nothing when they get caught.

  44. When I looked at the site and the virtual tour of the Annex I learned many things. A few of them ade me wonder just what life could've been like there.I never realized just how small the Annex really was before now. It must have been horrible living in such asmall living space with eight people. I was rather surprised to learn that Peter and Anne went to the attic to talk by themselves. He seemed to reserved, closed off, and withdrawn from the people he lives with for those two years. Also,I learned that the Van Pels' happened to be a kitchen as well. When I pictured Peters' room I didn't picture it to be so cramped and tiny. If I had to be stuck in their I'd be rather depressed and might have gone mad. The reason is because for example,Anne didn't have a friend to keep her company and help keep her spirits high. Yet,somehow she managed to cope by using her diary as a stand in. Then,I think about how hard it must have been to not be able to get away from the people that could upset you. I'd have eventually feel clostrophobic. What left a lasting impression on me was that was how small Peters' room was. It didn't seem suitable for him considering he was a growing guy. In conclusion, the secret annex tour and the site helped.me with questions about Anne's life and thought me a lot.

  45. One of the interesting things I discovered while on the website was that not only were there different versions of Anne's diary, but it also wasn't complete. In fact, most of 1943 was completely missing. There were three different versions of her diary. The original version that she wrote, the second of which she rewrote many things, and finally the last version of which Otto Frank compiles the two versions together. I was also somewhat surprised how small the annex was. However, it made some sense since it was made as a hiding spot and not a house. I imagine that life there would have been pretty cramped and stuffy, due to the amount of people living in small quarters. Also, most of the time it was probably very dreary because they were in constant fear of getting caught, and they couldn't do much because they had to avoid being heard.

  46. I found this website to be very interesting! I realized how crammed and tight the Secret Annex was and how Anne must have felt being so close to people that already annoyed her. I feel as if I can relate to her struggles of how bad it must be, because if I’m grounded I must sit there and do nothing for maybe five hours, but Anne has to sit and be quiet half of the day for two years! With her life on the line if she makes a noise, she could possibly have all her dreams ruined just like that. After exploring the annex I was shocked how tight and close everything was. I think life in the annex would be terrible! Nothing to do for half the day but read and work, right next to people you are highly annoyed by, I for sure know I wouldn’t like it.

  47. While I was in the Secret Annex, it was really tight and each room connect to each other. It was nearly impossible to find other rooms without a sign showing which rooms were which. Living in the Secret Annex would be a drag because the rooms were so tight and you couldn't make a simple noise or people would know other people were up there. The floors were made of wood so it could make a squeaky noise if you were to walk around in the Annex.
